This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. This is a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice to anyone. For any of those, go straight to the court that issued the warrant or to the Sheriff's Office.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Where a Mackinac County warrant question goes depends on the court that handled the case. The 92nd District Court is the local starting point for most people, and the list below sorts the common needs by office:
- Whether a warrant exists: the Sheriff's Office serves warrants and can speak to an outstanding one, while the issuing court holds the official case file
- A bench warrant from a missed date: the court that set the case holds the warrant, and in this county that is the 92nd District Court rather than a city or township court
- Clearing or resolving a warrant: only the issuing court can recall or quash it, and a Michigan attorney can explain the options and the timing
- An arrest warrant tied to a charge: the court sets the charge and the bond, and the Sheriff's Office carries out the arrest
Mackinac County has no municipal court and no county warrant counter, so these offices do the work instead. The courthouse and annex sit at 100 S. Marley Street in St. Ignace, with published weekday hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call first for holiday closures, island scheduling, and winter access.

Court case files follow MCR 8.119 rather than the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, so a court-record question belongs with the clerk who keeps that file. Records held by a county agency outside the courts can be requested in writing under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq., through the County Clerk's FOIA coordinator. A written request can go by letter, fax, or email, and the county generally answers within five business days.
